Personal Profile

My very first job was ironing fabric for a fiber artist and weaver. I found the environment fascinating and delightful. I immersed myself in the vintage and retro world as a college student and made my way into theatre after graduating. I've been working in professional Theatre for over 25 years and I enjoy going to work everyday.  I've had the pleasure of working in a wide variety of theater genres. Opera, Modern Dance, Musicals, Plays and Burlesque.

The role of a costume designer is one of instinctual visual human insight, telling the story of love, hope, tragedy, laughter and tears through costumes. It is a collaboration and partnership with fellow designers, actors and our theater community. The costume designer emphasizes and supports the story, reaching people in a new way.
